This virtual gathering with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General will focus on providing a comprehensive overview of the legislative changes to the Crime Victims Compensation Act, which becomes effective on January 1, 2022; renewing the commitment to better serve victims in the State of Illinois by sharing continued efforts to expand programs, revise policies and re-imagine practice to reflect a victim-centered, trauma-informed approach to victim services as an essential component of violence prevention.
