Intergenerational poverty impacts Black and Native American families, disproportionately, who experience much less upward mobility than White children growing up in the same circumstances. This briefing will highlight the findings of the congressionally mandated report by a committee of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on reducing intergenerational poverty.
