Across the United States, students of color, students with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ students are disproportionately disciplined in school and more likely to be involved in the criminal justice system. Legal Aid Chicago seeks to disrupt these trends by providing legal representation for students in school discipline cases (especially expulsion) as well as support with juvenile records expungement. In this training event, participants will learn more about all of the legal rights in these areas.
