The U.S. Surgeon General, Vice Admiral (VADM) Vivek H. Murthy, MD, MBA visited Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago to attend a meeting hosted by Health & Disability Advocates. The primary topic of the meeting was community-centered collaborative approaches to violence prevention. SCY will continue to raise national awareness of the great violence prevention work being done in Chicago during the Annual Meeting of the American Public Health Association (Oct. 31-Nov. 4).
