Kirstin Grabski is the Program Specialist (Events and Engagement) for Strengthening Chicago’s Youth (SCY), is responsible for various administrative, communication, and partner engagement efforts. Kirstin’s role with SCY involves leading the development and preparation for training, meetings, partner collaboration, social media campaigns, and the monthly newsletter. She has also worked with the Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago Children (CLOCC) as administrative and fiscal support. Before coming to SCY in July 2016, Kirstin spent time volunteering with Tutoring Chicago, a free tutoring service for Chicago youth in disinvested communities as a safe place for learning and mentoring. Kirstin attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign studying Communications with an interest in Health Communication. In her free time, she travels as much as possible, enjoys plants and gardening, and spends time with her rescue dog, Mia.
